As Covid-19 continues to keep schools mostly closed in Zambia, our team is getting creative to achieve our mission of equipping schools for quality education. Since the majority of our students aren’t allowed to attend classes at school, we decided to bring the learning to them. Our staff have been working together with our teachers and volunteers to create educational resources out of recycled materials. These at-home learning kits are then distributed to the parents, who receive an orientation on each activity and how it will help their child continue learning. From counting to literacy to critical thinking, these little kits are loaded with fun and learning!
We knew the children would love these activities, but the response from the parents has been overwhelming. Our schools are already being contacted by others in the community who want to enroll their children for these extra lessons. We love seeing our little schools make a community-wide impact!
