As 2016 comes to an end, there is a sense of excitement within our schools that I've never witnessed before. They are pumped... they are confident... and they are ready for the new year!
At our last management training of the year, our schools gathered together for three intense days of planning. It was the first time our schools have ever put an entire year's plan on paper. And although it was challenging, they know it was worth it! Because of that planning, budgeting, and prioritizing, they know exactly how much money they need to accomplish their goals next year. To many organizations, this is routine practice. But for our schools, this is something new and life-changing. Our schools have always operated on a day to day basis, meeting whatever need arises at the time. They struggle to pay teachers, to buy supplies, and to stock the classrooms. And with that style of operation, they can only provide a substandard education for their students. But all of that is changing now!
Our schools are ready. They have set their goals for the new year, and they know how they're going to get there. And even though the training was exhausting for all of us, our school leaders haven't stopped working. They are preparing project proposals and putting things in motion to fund next year's plans.
This is what Impact One has been working towards: equipping our schools with effective management practices that can lead to quality education in the classrooms.
What a blessing it is to walk with these passionate leaders as they raise up the next generation in Zambia! And I couldn't do it without you! Every time you give, you pray, and you share our stories, you increase our capacity to impact our schools!
Would you consider giving so that we can continue to provide the type of training and mentoring our partner schools need to achieve their goals next year? All donations are tax-deductible and extremely impactful. From $5 to $5,000, each and every one will help us equip our schools to educate 4,000 vulnerable children in 2017!
