As part of our efforts to equip teachers, we teach them how to use recycled materials to create educational resources and games for their students. This month, we got the kids involved in the fun!
We brought recycled cardboard and bottle tops to Everest Academy and taught the older students how to make a counting game for the younger students. They had so much fun working together, and were excited to share their homemade games.
Through this simple activity, we encouraged teamwork, creativity, and resourcefulness. We also showed everyone at the school that kids can make an impact too!
After creating the games, the younger students had the chance to play them. They quickly understood the rules and didn’t even realize they were practicing math while playing a game. This is definitely a win all around for us!
