At the end of every year, we take time to reflect on our progress and dream of our future. Last week, we invited our partner schools to join us as we embarked on this process. We asked them one simple question… what does it mean to be a part of the Impact One Network?
The first response… it means a lot!
Then each person began to share story after story of how the Impact One Network has made a difference in their schools. Priscilla shared about the confidence she now has as a teacher. Before, she was always nervous when people watched her deliver a lesson. Now, she says anyone can enter her classroom because she knows what she’s doing!
Magret shared about the friendship they have developed amongst the 9 schools. Before joining Impact One, they struggled on their own to solve problems, and they had nowhere to go for help. But now, she says she can approach any school in the network when she has a question, and she knows they will help.
Tryness shared about the personal transformation she has seen beyond her school. She uses the same planning and budgeting skills she's learned at Impact One in her church, and even in her home. By creating a family budget, she knows exactly how much she needs to send her kids to school in January, and she’s prepared!
Along with improving the quality of education in the classrooms, our programs are also transforming hearts and minds, building community, and impacting families. As we look ahead into the next year, we dream of providing these same life-changing opportunities to many more community schools.
